Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Psychiatric Social Worker to join our team at Health eCareers. As a Psychiatric Social Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality mental health services to our members. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication skills, and a passion for working with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely and appropriate assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and treatment intervention to members.
  • Select appropriate treatment modality to members presenting problem.
  • Communicate clinical material effectively to members and clinical staff.
  • Provide high internal and external customer/patient satisfaction.
  • Demonstrate expertise in various treatment methodologies.
  • Document clinical encounters in members charts.
  • Stay knowledgeable of KP and community resources.
  • Adhere to all mandated guidelines for patients clinical care and license.
  • Maintain license.
  • Conduct initial interviews with members to elicit and interpret the psychological and social meaning of complaints.
  • Determine urgency of members need.
  • Provide professional interpretation of members presentation and recommend a course of therapeutic action.
  • Provide treatment to adults, adolescents, and children.
  • Rend immediate guidance & therapy for members in crisis or in need of clinical services.
  • Maintain written record of therapy, prepare reports and letters, and phone, write, and visit social agencies, schools, relatives, friends to obtain pertinent information.
  • Provide clinical consultation in an integrated health care environment regarding family interactions, sociocultural determinants, and community resources.
  • Provide telephone assessment, counseling, resource information, and referrals.
  • Identify and treat the span of developmental stages.
  • Proficient in various treatment modalities including individual, group, family, and child therapy.
  • Comply with organizational, departmental, state/federal guidelines, and all regulatory agency policies and procedures.
  • Participate in QM & CQI activities.

Requirements

  • Two (2) years of post-graduate mental health therapy experience within the last five (5) years required.
  • Masters degree in a Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or other field related to behavioral health required.
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California) OR Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (California) OR Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California)
  • National Provider Identifier
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) Level II required.
