Job Profile

The Chief Financial Officer oversees all financial aspects of the company, including financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and risk management. This role works closely with senior leadership to develop strategies, assess financial performance, and make data-driven decisions to support the company's goals and growth.

The ideal candidate has strong communication skills, a motivated and self-driven entrepreneurial outlook, commitment to technical excellence, good relationship-building skills, and a collaborative personality.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans.

  2. Present accurate financial statements, reports, and performance analyses to senior leadership and stakeholders.

  3. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting principles, and industry standards.

  4. Provide in-depth financial analysis and insights to support decision-making.

  5. Identify financial risks and opportunities, implementing strategies to mitigate risks.

  6. Develop and maintain internal controls and policies to safeguard company assets and financial integrity.

  7. Lead and manage the finance department, ensuring efficient operations and performance.

  8. Mentor and develop finance staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.

  9. Optimize working capital and oversee cash flow management.

  10. Manage financial relationships with banks, investors, and external stakeholders.

  11. Ensure adherence to tax laws, regulatory requirements, and corporate governance policies.

  12. Coordinate with external auditors and oversee audits.

  13. Support strategic mergers, acquisitions, and investment opportunities.

  14. Collaborate with other department heads to ensure alignment of financial objectives with overall business strategy.

Essential Criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Masters or professional certification such as ACCA, CA, CPA, CFA is a plus).
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in finance or accounting, including 5+ years in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of financial management principles, financial forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Experience with financial modeling, reporting, and analysis.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory and financial compliance requirements.
  • Strong proficiency in financial software and ERP systems (ideally previous Netsuite experience).
  • Ability to think strategically and solve complex financial issues.
