We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at Asterix Communications. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing structural building integrity programs, preparing designs and specifications, and providing team leadership for concept, scheme, and detailed design calculations and drawings.
Key Responsibilities and Duties- Structural Engineering Program Management: Manage a structural building integrity program, including condition assessment and review of remediation proposals.
- Design and Specification Preparation: Prepare designs, analytical 3D models, specifications, calculations, and drawings for new build schemes, and obtain statutory approvals where needed.
- Team Leadership: Provide team leadership for the preparation of concept, scheme, and detailed design calculations and drawings for structural and multi-discipline projects.
- Structural Engineering Analysis and Design: Maintain ownership of the structural engineering analysis and design.
- Risk Assessment and Quality Control: Prepare risk assessments for maintenance and/or refurbishment projects, and inspect works carried out on site to monitor quality and compliance with design drawings.
- Design Delivery and Technical Support: Be accountable for the timely production and delivery of reliable design solutions, reports, specifications, and drawings, and provide technical support and manage the technical accuracy of the project delivery.
- Technical Knowledge and Digital Modelling: Maintain a comprehensive knowledge and appreciation of current technical engineering codes and practices, and take a role in technical matters both at project and divisional level. Possess exceptional digital/structural modelling skills and provide guidance to junior engineers in developing digital skills to required levels for the increased efficiency and quality of the structural design.
