About the Company

This organization is involved in the exploration, production, transportation, and marketing of crude oil and natural gas. It operates through various segments, including Upstream, Downstream, and Corporate. The Upstream segment encompasses the exploration and production of crude oil, natural gas, and natural gas liquids. The Downstream segment is dedicated to refining, logistics, power generation, and the marketing of crude oil, petroleum, and petrochemical products along with related services to both international and domestic clients. The Corporate segment provides essential support services, including human resources, finance, and information technology.

Job Summary

We are looking for an Environmental Engineer to join our Global Manufacturing Support Department (GMSD). This role focuses on environmental protection and performance aspects within refinery and gas plant operations. GMSD is responsible for offering technical consultations, operational support, troubleshooting, benchmarking, strategic planning, and conducting assessments in areas such as safety, environmental compliance, cybersecurity, advanced process control, energy efficiency, process engineering, reliability, and maintenance.

Your primary responsibilities will include establishing and maintaining an Environmental Management System in accordance with ISO 14001, ensuring compliance with relevant environmental regulations and standards, implementing corporate environmental programs, and enhancing the environmental performance of facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expertise in cost engineering and coordinate activities within the unit.
  • Conduct regular monitoring and reporting of environmental performance.
  • Ensure that facility operations align with the company's environmental protection policies and standards.
  • Identify deviations and develop solutions to mitigate environmental risks and enhance compliance.
  • Develop, review, and implement a Greenhouse Gas (GHG) management program, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
  • Conduct internal GHG assurance audits and assist in preparing for third-party audits.
  • Monitor waste disposal to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Assess air quality, wastewater, and water conservation performance.
  • Establish environmental KPIs and targets in line with company policies.
  • Develop and maintain environmental procedures and guidelines.
  • Conduct environmental audits and assessments.
  • Benchmark environmental performance among oil and gas refineries.
  • Organize workshops for technical exchange among refineries.
  • Create and deliver training materials to promote environmental awareness among personnel.

Qualifications:

  • This position requires the candidate to relocate permanently.
  • The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution. A Master's degree or EPI/QEP certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry is essential, particularly in refining, chemical, or NGL fractionation processes. Additionally, at least 7 years of experience in a direct environmental management role within a refinery or gas plant is required.

    • Strong management and coordination skills.
    • Robust analytical and organizational abilities.
    • Excellent technical writing and presentation skills.
