**Job Summary:** We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team at MatchaTalent. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the environmental sustainability of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise with Internal Stakeholders: Collaborate with internal business units and support organizations to address environmental matters, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Environmental Performance Tracking: Monitor, analyze, and report on environmental performance across various fields, including flaring, SO2, greenhouse gas emissions, water conservation, energy efficiency, and oil spills.
- Gap Assessment and Mitigation: Identify gaps in environmental management systems and performance tracking processes, proposing mitigation and optimization measures to improve overall sustainability.
- Compliance Tracking: Maintain an updated list of internal organizations' compliance gaps, ensuring timely identification and resolution.
- Non-Conformity Remediation: Identify major or common non-conformities and recommend remediation measures to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Awareness and Training: Coordinate workshops and awareness sessions on new environmental requirements, updates in systems, and processes to ensure internal stakeholders are informed and equipped to meet sustainability goals.
- Environmental Standards and Guidelines: Review and provide feedback on new or updated environmental general instructions and standards, ensuring alignment with company policies and industry best practices.
- Guidance and Support: Provide guidance and support to internal environmental coordinators, ensuring they have the necessary resources and expertise to effectively manage environmental sustainability initiatives.
- Sustainability Strategies and Programs: Develop and propose strategies and programs to maintain compliance, enhance environmental performance, and optimize processes and operations, leveraging existing company resources and new technologies.
Requirements:
- Experience in environmental sustainability, with a focus on greenhouse gas accounting and emissions reduction.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate environmental risks.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and implement sustainability strategies and programs, with a focus on continuous improvement.
