We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Bakery Assistant to join our team at Kitopi. As a key member of our kitchen operations, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality and consistency in our bakery production.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Kitchen Manager in the daily operation of the bakery, adhering to menu specifications and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Control food stock and cost in your section, ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing waste.
  • Prepare daily mis-en-place and food production in different sections of the main kitchen, following established procedures and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with other sections to ensure seamless coordination and effective cost control.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and maintain accurate records, including health and safety, hygiene, and HACCP protocols.
Requirements
  • Minimum high school academic qualification.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Commis Bakery in a restaurant kitchen.
  • Mandatory experience in making dough, breads, pastries, pita, and baking section.
  • Knowledge of legal requirements for health and safety, HACCP, and environmental health.
  • Positive, dynamic, creative, and dedicated team player with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
