  • Support the Kitchen Manager in the daily operation of the bakery, including preparing and baking a variety of breads, pastries, and other sweet and savory treats.
  • Ensure that all food products are prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Control food stock and food cost in your section, ensuring that all ingredients are used efficiently and effectively.
  • Prepare the daily mis-en-place and food production in different sections of the main kitchen, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards.
  • Follow the instructions and recommendations from the immediate Superiors to complete the daily tasks, ensuring that all work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that you operate within the appropriate legislation and the appropriate records are maintained up to date, including health & safety, hygiene, equal opportunities, HACCP and any other legislation as appropriate.

Requirements:

  • Minimum high school academic qualification.
  • At least 1 Year experience as Commis Bakery in a restaurant kitchen.
  • Mandatory experience in making dough, breads, pastries, pita and baking section.
  • Knowledge of legal requirements for health and safety, HACCP environmental health.
  • Positive, dynamic, creative, and dedicated team player with the ability to work in a multicultural environment.
