Job Summary
This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies that drive revenue growth and improve category performance. You'll analyze sales data, market trends, and product assortment to identify opportunities and challenges affecting product categories.
Main Responsibilities
- Sales Data Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis of sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges affecting product categories.
- Strategy Development: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement strategies that improve category performance and drive revenue growth.
- Project Management: Lead initiatives to optimize product assortment, pricing, and promotions across multiple channels.
- Internal Alignment: Work closely with sales, marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of initiatives.
- Reporting and Recommendations: Prepare detailed reports summarizing category performance, sales trends, and key insights to inform business decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar role and/or previous experience managing product assortment within a retailer or a brand.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and trends.
- Proven ability to build relationships with brands and vendors and negotiate trade investment.
- Understanding of sales elasticity and financial impact of prices & promotions.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
