About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SCM Senior Chartering Specialist to join our team at Subsea 7. As a key member of our SCM function, you will play a critical role in finding and administering chartered vessels to support our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure chartering category involvement for marine asset procurement activities, covering the entire project life cycle.
  • Determine the appropriate strategy for chartering requirements, collaborating with the APME SCM Chartering Manager and SCM Project Lead.
  • Develop and implement chartering strategies for each requirement, aligning with project schedules.
  • Work in accordance with Subsea 7 approved procedures, utilizing available SCM tools and adhering to Business Codes of Ethics.
  • Discuss chartering criticalities and potential synergies with the APME SCM Chartering Manager on a daily basis.
  • Address specific SCM-related requirements of Main Contracts or Client specifications.
  • Ensure Statement of Final Account are signed off and close-out reports issued upon project completion.
  • Conduct feedback and Subcontractors/Owners Performance Evaluations using saving and Value Capture/Overrun Reports and Supplier/Subcontractor Performance Assessments.
  • Prepare Project Special Terms for chartering with the Project Contract Manager, monitoring liability and risks with Vessels Owners.
  • Follow pre-approved Subcontractors/Owners in Ariba, sourcing alternative Vessels Owners based on approved SCM strategy and technical justification.
  • Assist the APME SCM Chartering Manager in developing and supervising the regular updating of the Project Procurement Status Report, providing accurate and timely status reports of SCM activities.
Requirements
  • Minimum 10 years in SCM function, especially in Oil and Gas, or 5 years in Chartering Roles in the Oil & Gas Business.
  • Proficient in English, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Great negotiation skills.
  • Great working attitude.
  • Contractual skills, familiar with subcontract or Bimco charter parties.
  • Familiar with vessel charter, particularly in the Middle East.
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and SAP.
