We are seeking a highly skilled GHG Emissions Specialist to join our team at Asterix Communications. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will play a critical role in helping our clients transition towards a more sustainable future.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive greenhouse gas accounting strategies for our clients, ensuring compliance with the Greenhouse Gas Protocol standards.
  • Provide expert guidance on climate targets and climate change-related programs, including CDP and the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero.
  • Lead the development of carbon accounting methodologies and GHG inventory strategies, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advise clients on material GHGP categories relevant to their business and guide them through various carbon accounting methodologies.
  • Hold certifications from reputable standard setters, such as WRI, ISO, GHGP, SBTi, TCFD, VRF, etc.
  • Present complex technical information effectively to diverse stakeholders, demonstrating strong business acumen and communication skills.
  • Manage competing priorities and deliver key objectives within time constraints, working collaboratively with multi-functional teams.
  • Offer expertise in GHGP, PCAF, and SBTi, with experience in creating GHG inventories and disclosures, as well as audit and assurance engagements.
  • Exhibit excellent communication, relationship management, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • Substantial experience and knowledge in GHG accounting and sustainability.
  • Certifications and expertise in GHG protocols and standards, with a strong understanding of carbon accounting methodologies and GHG inventory strategy.
  • Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams and manage complex projects, with excellent communication and relationship management skills.
  • Bilingual in English & Arabic, with the ability to communicate complex technical information effectively to diverse stakeholders.
