About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Engineer to join our team at WSP. As a key member of our engineering consultancy, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Lead and manage projects related to port planning and design of maritime infrastructure, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
  • Engineering Consultancy: Provide expert engineering consultancy services to clients, including concept design, feasibility studies, and detailed design of port infrastructure.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, M&E engineers, planners, geotechnical engineers, and quantity surveyors, to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Communication: Develop and maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members, ensuring clear and concise information exchange.
  • Technical Expertise: Apply your technical knowledge and skills to undertake tasks with limited supervision, ensuring high-quality results and adherence to relevant standards and guidelines.
  • Professional Development: Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, and contribute to the development of our team's technical expertise.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience: 4-8 years of experience in planning and design of maritime infrastructure, including container terminals, bulk terminals, general cargo facilities, quay walls, dredging, jetties, dolphins, RoRo facilities, marinas, coastal structures, and onshore port infrastructure.
  • Technical Skills: Good knowledge of Eurocodes, British standards, PIANC, and other relevant guidelines applicable to maritime infrastructure, as well as construction techniques and buildability of maritime structures.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports and communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.
