Position Summary

We are seeking a Procurement Officer for the Middle East & Africa to enhance our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a motivated individual with strong communication skills and a solid background in operational procurement.

The operational procurement function is vital to our business success. As the Procurement Officer, you will oversee all purchasing activities, including tactical and strategic procurement tasks, as well as administrative responsibilities within the MEA region.

You will report directly to the Team Leader of Operational Procurement for the Middle East, Africa & Asia Pacific.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily purchasing requirements.
  • Ensure compliance throughout the procurement process in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to adhere to procurement policies.
  • Align procurement activities with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess demand and manage scheduling.
  • Follow up on orders to ensure timely deliveries and manage rescheduling as necessary.
  • Conduct RFI/RFQs and provide insightful comparisons to recommend optimal solutions.
  • Work closely with strategic procurement members to implement initiatives aimed at reducing transaction costs and enhancing efficiency.
  • Address and resolve complaints and claims effectively.
  • Maintain and update the Master Database.
  • Assist in the vendor registration process.
  • Ensure successful documentation upload for new vendors into the system.
  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor.
Qualifications
  • Technical, commercial, or purchasing qualification or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in operational procurement.
  • Experience in customer service or procurement with a focus on resolving complex issues.
  • Strong understanding of the purchase-to-pay process.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Familiarity with SAP/R3/Ariba systems is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Strong collaborative abilities and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to build relationships and networks with stakeholders.
  • Technical acumen to identify and recognize similar products.
  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.
