Role Overview

As a Lead Engineering Strategist at Petrofac Emirates, you will play a pivotal role in steering project execution and controls. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that all planning and control deliverables are met with precision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning: Collaborate closely with the Project Controls Manager to oversee the comprehensive planning and control deliverables associated with the project.
  • Tendering Process: Engage in the tendering phase by contributing to the initial Project Execution Plan, particularly focusing on Level 1, 2, and 3 planning. Your insights will support the proposals manager in understanding the logical sequencing of activities from engineering to handover.
  • Schedule Development: Transition Level 1, 2, and 3 schedules from the tender phase into actionable working schedules for execution, integrating inputs from engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning disciplines while optimizing timelines.
  • Documentation Management: Assist in establishing the Technical Document Register (TDR) and Project Procurement Tracking Register (PTR), ensuring these registers are populated with essential data from Engineering and Procurement teams.
  • Collaboration with Partners: Work alongside subcontractor or partner construction planners to devise optimal sequencing of construction activities, ensuring realistic timelines for engineering and procurement to facilitate efficient installation, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.
  • Reporting: Ensure the TDR and PTR are consistently updated in accordance with project reporting requirements, promptly reporting any significant deviations to project management.
  • Progress Monitoring: Prepare project S-curves for all engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction, and generate weekly and monthly progress reports. Assess remaining forecast planning against progress figures, highlighting areas requiring adjustments to mitigate delays.
  • Commodity Management: Gather commodity data from discipline engineers and create commodity curves for handover to construction management, ensuring effective monitoring.

Your role will be integral to the success of our projects, driving efficiency and excellence in execution.
