Sunreef Yachts is a renowned global leader in the design and construction of bespoke luxury sailing catamarans, powerboats, and superyachts ranging from 40 to over 200 feet in length. Our unique multihulls are crafted for discerning clients who value unparalleled comfort and seaworthiness.

Role Overview:

As a Yacht Building Project Manager, you will support the Project Manager Head in overseeing the construction of new luxury yachts. This role involves coordinating various tasks, managing resources, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Coordination:
    • Assist in developing and maintaining project plans and schedules to ensure timely completion of milestones.
    • Monitor and control project progress, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
    • Coordinate with different departments to ensure alignment with project timelines and deliverables.
    • Regularly review project evolution, address and report any issues during production.
    • Provide regular updates to the Project Manager Head on construction activities and project progress.
  • Resource Management:
    • Help identify and allocate resources, including manpower, materials, and equipment, to meet project goals.
    • Anticipate workload and assign collective and individual responsibilities to ensure efficient resource utilization.
    • Coordinate approved third-party contractors and manage coactivity on board to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Identify, source, and approve equipment and material requests for projects as per design requirements within approved budgets.
  • Technical Support:
    • Assist in resolving technical issues related to yacht construction or design, collaborating with engineers, designers, production teams, and suppliers.
    • Conduct regular project meetings to update progress, address any issues, and ensure project specifications are met.
    • Identify and anticipate risks that might impact a schedule and propose solutions to mitigate with the Production Manager Head.
    • Resolve technical issues pertaining to construction, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
    • Liaise with the Design Department to receive drawings on time and ensure the Production team is aware of supporting project progress.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure all construction activities meet quality standards, collaborating with the Quality Control team to conduct inspections and audits.
    • Coordinate quality control checks to deliver projects according to class and owner quality requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Marine, Engineering, Naval Architecture, or equivalent.
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in project management in shipbuilding or marine engineering.
  • Strong leadership, communication skills, interpersonal, and planning skills.
  • Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
  • Ability to produce and present effective and comprehensive reports.
  • Able to delegate tasks and manage people professionally.

This role is essential for supporting the smooth execution of yacht building projects, ensuring they meet all necessary standards and client expectations.
