Overview of Your Responsibilities
- Curate a comprehensive list of events for Canonical's participation, leveraging primary research and team insights.
- Establish relevant KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of each event and substantiate expenditures.
- Negotiate optimal deals to enhance visibility while minimizing costs.
- Deliver complete logistical support for all global events, including occasional travel to key gatherings.
- Oversee the planning and execution of the event budget, consistently monitoring and adjusting as necessary.
- Develop systems aimed at measurably enhancing the effectiveness of events over time.
We seek individuals in the Canonical marketing team who excel in communication and thrive in collaborative environments, engaging with a diverse mix of engineers, product managers, sales representatives, and executives.
Desired Qualifications
- Proven experience in organizing B2B events (trade shows, customer engagements, webinars, etc.).
- Strong academic background, holding a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing, or STEM fields.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills in English.
- A proactive approach and a passion for experimentation.
- A growth-oriented mindset, embracing challenges with a positive work ethic.
- Ability to remain objective and open to diverse perspectives while fostering a positive team atmosphere.
- Demonstrated capability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines without compromising quality.
