Anesthesia Supervisor

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the Anesthesia Technicians throughout the hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth functioning of the Anesthesia Department, including the acquisition and maintenance of anesthesia supplies and equipment.

• Departmental Oversight: Supervise the daily activities of Anesthesia Technicians, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
• Supply Chain Management: Coordinate the acquisition and maintenance of anesthesia supplies and equipment, ensuring that all necessary items are available and in good working condition.
• Staff Scheduling: Create and manage staff schedules to ensure that the Anesthesia Department is adequately staffed at all times.
• Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for Anesthesia Technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
• Quality Assurance: Collaborate with biomedical and OR equipment technicians to ensure that all equipment is properly cleaned, maintained, and stored.
• Financial Management: Review and approve purchases and operating expenses in collaboration with the Director/Manager.
• Process Improvement: Assist in conducting evaluations of new products and services to promote quality patient care and cost containment.

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: At least 3-5 years of experience in environmental service, Operating Room procedures, general Operating Room equipment, and anesthesia equipment.
• Preferred Qualifications: Cell Saver and Platelet Sequestration experience preferred; at least 3 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare, hotel, or anesthesiologist's office preferred.
