Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Control Specialist to join our team at GSK. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality in our laboratory activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Schedule and coordinate laboratory activities, including routine GMP testing throughput, to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Scientific Expertise: Demonstrate a deep understanding of scientific principles and method validation for the assays you perform, and communicate findings to manufacturing teams.
  • Quality Assurance: Review GMP assay data, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions to maintain high-quality standards.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Lead lab investigations, prioritize tasks, and make decisions with minimal supervision. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve quality objectives.
  • Training and Development: Train and teach team members on applicable procedures, and serve as a subject matter expert on various methods and topics.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Effectively communicate with departments on site, lead others through high-pressure situations, and react calmly under stress.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Qualification: Support the qualification, operation, and scheduled maintenance of laboratory equipment, including automated and computerized systems.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Understand and comply with current GMP regulations and quality systems, and promote a quality mindset in every action.
  • Accountability and Safety: Accountable for supporting QC and site operations, communicating in a positive and professional manner, and supporting operational excellence principles.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a scientific discipline.
  • Experience: 2+ years of GMP/pharmaceutical/lab experience.
  • Skills: Computer skills and knowledge, basic proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, demonstrated ability to work successfully both independently and in a team environment, good verbal and written communication skills, and good time management skills.
