Job Responsibilities

As a Sales and Marketing Manager, you will help increase the sales of a book created by one of our founders. Your primary responsibilities include:

  • Sales Strategy Development: Developing and implementing effective sales strategies to meet and exceed targets for book sales (Physical format + Amazon).
  • Relationship Building: Building and maintaining strong relationships with publishers, distributors, and other key stakeholders in the book industry.
  • Market Analysis: Identifying market trends, new opportunities, and customer preferences to refine sales tactics and product offerings.
  • Reporting and Forecasting: Overseeing the preparation of sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to track and present progress.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinating with the marketing team to create promotional campaigns that enhance brand visibility and drive book sales.
  • Distribution Management: Managing distribution channels to ensure the efficient and effective delivery of products.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in sales management, preferably within the book publishing or distribution industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
