**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Assessment and Screening: Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, including interviews, medical histories, physical exams, observations, and psychological testing to assess patients' mental health needs.
  • Data Analysis and Diagnosis: Analyze data and results of assessments to diagnose patients and develop effective treatment plans.
  • Medication Management: Prescribe and administer medications according to diagnosis, monitoring patients for efficacy and potential side effects.
  • Treatment Planning and Progress Monitoring: Develop treatment plans, measure progress against the plan, and make adjustments as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Crisis Intervention: Provide crisis intervention as needed, working closely with patients and their support networks to ensure their safety and well-being.
  • Clinical Documentation: Complete all necessary clinical documentation in an accurate and timely manner, maintaining high standards of record-keeping and confidentiality.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with a broader team of physicians, psychologists, and nurses to assess and adjust treatment plans, ensuring seamless care coordination and communication with case managers and other stakeholders.

**Requirements:**

  • Board Certification: Current and valid board certification in psychiatry is required.
  • Medical Degree: A medical degree from an accredited medical school and completion of an approved psychiatric residency are necessary.
  • Licensure: Licensed to practice medicine in the country/state of practice.
  • Specialty Knowledge: Excellent knowledge and familiarity with current specialty developments, including crisis assessment tools and techniques.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Strong working knowledge of general psychiatric principles and practices, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
