Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including diagnostic assessments and treatment planning, to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Deliver evidence-based treatment and care to clients, including medication management and therapy, to promote mental well-being.
  • Collaborate with other mental health professionals, such as psychologists and social workers, to develop an integrated treatment plan that addresses the unique needs of each client.
  • Monitor and review treatment progress, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in psychiatry through ongoing training and development, applying this knowledge to improve patient care.
  • Educate clients, their families, and the community on mental health issues, promoting mental well-being and reducing stigma.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, adhering to ethical and professional standards, and participating in clinical audits as required.
  • Participate in team meetings and case conferences to discuss and review client cases, ensuring a collaborative and comprehensive approach to care.

Qualifications

  • Hold a medical degree with specialty training in psychiatry, demonstrating expertise in the field.
  • Be licensed to practice psychiatry, ensuring the ability to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Have a strong understanding of psychiatric disorders and evidence-based treatments, applying this knowledge to deliver effective care.
  • Have a minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical psychiatry, demonstrating a commitment to the field and a track record of success.
  • Be able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, collaborating with other professionals to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring effective relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.
  • Be proficient in using electronic health records and other relevant computer systems, staying up-to-date with the latest technology and best practices.
