Job Overview:

The role of Senior Global Markets Business Development Director at First Abu Dhabi Bank is to drive external client relationships alongside cultivating key internal relationships to benefit the global markets business. This involves developing and innovating our commodities (energy, metals, Agri, carbon) product capabilities and solutions.

This senior position requires a strong team player who can lead by example within the team and across the business. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years but ideally 7-10 years relevant experience in international banking. International bank experience is a must for this role.

The successful candidate will be responsible for selling global markets products and solutions to key Corporate and Investment Banking clients with HQs across Europe and the Americas. They will also be expected to identify and cultivate cross-sell opportunities from balance sheet commitments within their assigned portfolio of clients.

A strong partnership with Investment Banking is essential to promote and elevate the interests of the GM business with the bank's clients. The candidate must ensure high-quality execution, sales appropriateness, and suitability, compliant with external regulation and the bank's internal policies at all times.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and innovate commodities (energy, metals, Agri, carbon) product capabilities and solutions.
  • Drive external client relationships alongside cultivating key internal relationships.
  • Sell global markets products and solutions to key Corporate and Investment Banking clients.
  • Identify and cultivate cross-sell opportunities from balance sheet commitments.
  • Maintain strong relationships with GM product, Investment Banking, and other support functions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years but ideally 7-10 years relevant experience in international banking.
