We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented candidate to fill the role of Accounts Assistant at Score Plus - The Princeton Review Middle East. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing day-to-day accounting activities with senior accountants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with and manage the day-to-day accounting activities with senior accountants, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Perform or review bank account reconciliations and report to senior accountants, identifying any discrepancies or issues.
  • Assist in performing general accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, job costing, and general ledger posting, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to establishing a clear and well-defined accounting process, streamlining workflows and improving efficiency.
  • Assist in preparing billing invoices and making decisions regarding payment prioritization of outstanding invoices, ensuring timely payment and minimizing delays.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements and financial schedules, providing accurate and reliable financial information to stakeholders.
  • Support the year-end audit process by preparing any request formalities as indicated by the senior responsible, ensuring seamless execution and minimal disruptions.
  • Post daily receipts, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions.
  • Record and maintain inventory lists, reviewing and filing paperwork and reports as required.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance with experience in a similar role, preferably with a Bachelor's degree.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Attention to detail, with a strong focus on accuracy and precision.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, ERP, and other financial systems.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a finance or accounting department.
  • Proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
