Role Description

We are currently recruiting for a skilled Switchboard Operator to join our team at La Suite Dubai Hotel & Apartments. The successful candidate will be responsible for handling incoming calls, directing guests to their rooms or hotel personnel, and providing top-notch customer service.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering exceptional service, with excellent communication and listening skills. You will also be proficient in using our telephone operator board or PBX switchboard operations, as well as providing paging services for hotel guests and employees.

  1. Handle incoming calls and direct guests to their rooms or hotel personnel.
  2. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a friendly, courteous tone.
  3. Use active listening skills to obtain accurate information from callers.
  4. Log wake-up call requests and perform wake-up call services.
  5. Provide information about hotel services to guests.
  6. Understand PBX switchboard operations.
  7. Provide paging services for hotel guests and employees.
  8. Know what action to take in emergency situations.
  9. Assist with reporting telephone equipment or service complaints.
  10. Follow telephone etiquette.
  11. Train new telephone operators.
  12. Aware of health and safety procedures.
  13. Multitask as needed.
  14. Maintain politeness and courtesy while answering the phone.
  15. Manage telephone functionality on our front office software.
  16. Keep records of calls placed and received.
  17. Update directory information on our software.
Key Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 1 year experience in Rooms or a related professional area within a luxury hotel.
  • Proven track record in high-class lifestyle resort hotels.
