Job Purpose

The Senior Commercial Specialist is accountable for managing and overseeing commercial activities related to contract negotiations, cost estimation, bidding, and commercial activities during contract execution.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical and commercial acumen, excellent customer relationship management skills, and experience in the GCC market.

Main Responsibilities

  • Negotiate contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring favorable terms and compliance with company standards.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of bids, tenders, and proposals, including required coordination with the engineering team.
  • Conduct cost estimation, price analysis, and evaluate RFQs to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
  • Manage commercial activities during contract execution, including VO negotiation, delivery, payment collection, etc.
  • Assess and mitigate credit risks by providing insights on payments terms, guarantees, and financial stability of clients.
  • Promote and develop new businesses through PQ applications.
  • Prepare detailed reports on commercial activities, biding outcomes, and contract performance for internal stakeholders.
  • Forecast order taking, revenue, and cash flow, and follow up accordingly.
  • Maintain a strong customer relationship, acting as the primary point of contact for key clients.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including finance, procurement, and engineering, to ensure a smooth project execution.
  • Stay updated with market trends, competitor activities, and industry best practices to support business development.
  • Support project managers in resolving contractual issues related to site acquisition.
