About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Investment Banking Graduate to join our team at Standard Chartered. As a key member of our Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) function, you will play a critical role in providing corporate and advisory services to facilitate capital raising for clients, underwriting, IPOs, mergers and acquisitions, and the execution of advisory mandates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support senior bankers in our mergers and acquisitions (M&A) teams, developing significant multi-product and sector-specific expertise in cross-border deals.
  • Conduct research and analysis, financial modelling and valuation, and preparation of investment materials and presentations.
  • Execute end-to-end corporate finance transactions (both M&A and financing), developing detailed financial models to value companies and evaluate performance under a variety of scenarios.
  • Prepare presentation materials for clients covering M&A execution, capital market activity, and general corporate finance.
  • Contribute to the origination and execution of transactions, including due diligence and marketing materials.
  • Research and benchmark companies, industries, and countries.
  • Coordinate bank-wide deal team members and provide daily project management and execution support for live transactions.
Requirements
  • Final year student with a strong academic record and a permanent legal right to work in the country.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and valuation, with a strong understanding of corporate finance and investment banking.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
