Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of maintenance and repair, ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients, visitors, and staff. Key responsibilities include:

  • Regularly inspecting all rooms and internal areas to ensure utility, flooring, walls, doors, and furniture are well-maintained.
  • Performing repairs and installations of floors, doors, walls, windows, stairways, furniture, cabinets, and shelves as needed.
  • Installing locks, knobs, hinges, closures, and other fixtures to ensure secure and functional access points.
  • Inspecting ceilings, flooring, wall covering, glass, and woodwork to detect any damage or wear and tear.
  • Carrying out minor plumbing, electrical, A/C, and civil works to maintain the overall functionality of our building systems.
  • Preparing documentation as instructed to ensure compliance with JCIA regulations.
  • Assisting other engineering staff as directed by the Maintenance Engineer to ensure seamless teamwork and effective problem-solving.
  • Familiarizing yourself with and adhering to regulations, instructions, and training provided on fire response, infection control, safe work practices, and hazardous materials handling.
  • Working flexible shifts to accommodate the needs of our department.
  • Being available for on-call and overtime work as per your employment contract.
Requirements
  • A trade certificate or diploma from a reputable institute is required.
