Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Executive Chef Assistant at The First Group Dubai.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting and Accountability: Ensure punctual attendance and adherence to uniform and name badge policies.
  • Shift Organization: Collaborate with the Chef de Partie to plan and execute mise-en-place production and service.
  • Order Execution: Receive and execute orders from the Chef de Partie in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in preparing daily wine, dry store, food requisitions, and kitchen transfers for approval by the Executive Chef/Executive Sous Chef.
  • Employee Relations: Foster positive relationships with colleagues and motivate team members.
  • Food Preparation: Prepare food to specifications, adhering to portion size, quantity, and quality guidelines.
  • Checklists and Meetings: Complete daily checklists and attend daily and monthly meetings with the Chef de Cuisine and other scheduled meetings.
  • Maintenance and Reporting: Report equipment failures and ensure necessary work is completed.
  • Information Sharing: Verify information on the main information board and pass on relevant details to the next shift.
  • Accidents and Sickness: Record incidents in the log book and report to the Executive Chef/Executive Sous Chef.
  • Recipe Development: Assist the Chef de Cuisine in creating new recipes and menu ideas.
  • Company Policies: Demonstrate a thorough understanding and adherence to company policies regarding fire, hygiene, and safety.
