Job Overview

Majid Al Futtaim is seeking a highly skilled Senior Commercial Manager to join our team. As a key member of the Delivery Team, you will be responsible for supporting the development of projects through the direction of control documents and instruction from the senior management team.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial project management, with expertise in cost planning, cost reporting, change management, and contract close out. You will be responsible for managing the procurement of consultants and contract services, as well as compiling commercial assessments of tender submissions.

Additionally, you will assist with the management of third-party cost consultants and issue monthly commercial reports on project(s) following project finance meetings. Your expertise in contract administration and close out will be essential in ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities

**Cost Management**

  • Develop and implement cost plans and estimates for projects
  • Manage and report on project costs, including cash flow and analysis of costs to date and projected final account figures
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures on cost management

**Procurement**

  • Manage the procurement of consultants and contract services
  • Compile commercial assessments of tender submissions
  • Manage the compilation of contract documents and execution with contractual parties

**Contract Administration and Close Out**

  • Assist with contract administration of construction and contracts
  • Manage the payment process and ensure timely payment to contractors and consultants
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures on contract administration and close out
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Strong commercial project management skills, with expertise in cost planning, cost reporting, change management, and contract close out
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management, delivery teams, and external stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
