Job Title: Geospatial Data Science Manager

Bayanat is seeking a highly skilled Geospatial Data Science Manager to lead our geospatial data science team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the adoption of innovative geospatial technologies, developing and delivering geospatial products and services, and managing a high-performing team of geospatial analysts and data scientists.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Leadership: Drive the adoption of innovative geospatial technologies, including AI, machine learning, and remote sensing, to create high-impact solutions for clients.
  • Solution Development and Delivery: Oversee the end-to-end development of geospatial products and services, ensuring they meet client needs and industry standards. Collaborate with teams to design, build, and deploy scalable geospatial data solutions that deliver actionable insights.
  • Team Management and Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of geospatial analysts, data scientists, and engineers. Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment that encourages continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Market and Industry Analysis: Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies in geospatial analytics. Identify new business opportunities, assess market demand, and guide the development of solutions that address current and future needs.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of geospatial data operations, including data acquisition, processing, and analysis.
Qualifications:
  • Geospatial Expertise: Deep knowledge of geospatial data, analytics, and related technologies, including GIS, remote sensing, SAR, 3D data processing, AI, and machine learning. Proven ability to apply this expertise to solve complex, real-world problems.
  • Strategic Thinking: Strong ability to develop and implement long-term strategies and solutions that align with organizational goals.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Exceptional leadership skills with experience in managing, mentoring, and inspiring cross-functional teams. Ability to build a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
  • Client Focus: Strong client management skills, with a track record of successfully delivering customized solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Innovation and Problem-Solving: Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and a track record of developing new solutions or improving existing ones. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate challenges and find effective solutions.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
  • Project Management: Solid project management skills with experience in managing complex projects from conception through delivery. Proficiency in using project management tools and methodologies to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.
  • Education: MSc in a STEM-related discipline minimum.
