Land Surveyor Job Description

**Key Responsibilities:**

* Conduct land and field surveys, performing geodetic calculations to ensure accuracy and precision.

* Collaborate with clients and contractors to determine and verify project survey requirements, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.

* Complete surveying tasks on schedule and within budget, adhering to man-hour and cost constraints.

* Verify setting-out and levels, checking service locations and ensuring their protection to prevent damage or disruption.

* Prepare sketches to support field work, maintaining all survey information, including field books, sketches, and calculations.

* Measure work done as required, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

* Observe and adhere to site safety procedures, prioritizing the well-being of all personnel.

* Assist in preparing 'as-built' drawings, providing a comprehensive record of project progress.

* Participate in health and safety initiatives, working closely with the Resident Engineer and project Safety Representative to maintain a safe working environment.

**Requirements:**

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with clients, contractors, and colleagues.

* Proficiency in geospatial surveying techniques and software, with a strong understanding of geodetic calculations and surveying principles.

* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.
