The successful applicant will have a proven track record of achieving outstanding results in English education, and will have experience in leading and managing a team to achieve exceptional outcomes. You will be a creative and enthusiastic leader who is passionate about English education, and who is committed to providing high-quality education to our students.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide educational leadership and direction to the English department, ensuring that our students receive an exceptional education in English.
- Develop and implement engaging and effective English curricula, in collaboration with our teachers.
- Provide guidance and support to our teachers to ensure that our students achieve outstanding results.
- Lead and manage a team of English teachers to achieve exceptional outcomes.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve student outcomes in English, and to address any areas of concern.
- Work closely with our teachers to develop and implement effective assessment and evaluation strategies.
- Provide regular feedback and coaching to our teachers to support their professional development.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in English or a related subject.
- Certified teaching qualification, such as BEd, PGCE, PGDE or equivalent, with a specialization in English.
- Minimum of 4 years of solid and demonstrable full-time English teaching experience in a secondary school.
- Proven track record of achieving outstanding results in English education.
- At least 2 years of experience in leading and managing a team to achieve exceptional outcomes.
- Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills to work closely with students, parents, and colleagues.
