Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Steward to join our team at Anantara Hotels, Resorts and Spas. As a Steward, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our hotel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Chemical Safety and Handling: Ensure the safe storage, care, and use of chemicals to protect yourself and colleagues from incorrect or dangerous usage.
  • Safety Equipment Management: Ensure everyone maintains correct usage of required safety equipment, including gloves, boots, goggles, mask, or hats.
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Ensure that all surfaces, areas, and operating equipment of the hotel under your control are cleaned in order to maintain the hygiene standards of the hotel.
  • Waste Management: Empty and clean waste bins and areas according to schedule whenever they need emptying and cleaning.
  • Exit Area Management: Ensure that exit areas are kept free of obstacles at all times.
  • Dishwashing and Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that all dishwashing areas and equipment are kept clean at all times, and liaise with engineering for maintenance.
  • Environmental Conservation: Play an active and leading role in the energy-conservation and environmental policies and practices of the hotel.
  • Additional Duties: Perform any other related duties as requested by management.
Requirements

To be successful as a Steward, you will need to have excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will also need to be physically fit and able to lift heavy objects.
