We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Director of Food and Beverage to join our team at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. As a key member of our food and beverage leadership team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, organization, and execution of all aspects of food and beverage operations.
Key Responsibilities- Operational Excellence: Assist the Director of Food and Beverage in developing and implementing strategies to drive operational excellence, ensuring exceptional service and culinary quality.
- Cost Control: Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and implement cost control measures to optimize profitability without compromising quality.
- Quality Assurance: Enforce and monitor that all operational standards, as per established policies, SOPs, and quality measures are in place at all times.
- Menu Planning: Collaborate with the culinary team to plan menus, prices, and promotional events to maximize revenue-generating opportunities in line with market demands.
- Service Quality: Constantly identify areas for improvement in service and food and beverage quality by reviewing various service quality audit reports, guest feedback, and guest incident reports, and formulate action plans accordingly.
- Team Management: Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and continuous improvement among the food and beverage team.
- Training and Development: Train, evaluate, and schedule all colleagues per the applicable standards, and policies and as per the overall business requirements.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience working in a luxury hotel environment, with a minimum of 2 years of F&B experience within a luxury hotel or fine dining environment.
- Education: With a Senior High School Diploma or equivalent, an advantage is a vocational Diploma in Hospitality and/or a Bachelor's degree in hospitality/Hotel/Business Management.
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with guests, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels. Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
