  1. Design and develop high-quality, defensive, and performant code for our Core Desktop, catering to millions of demanding daily users.
  2. Collaborate with our team to understand the intricacies of immutable desktops and contribute to the development of cutting-edge Linux container technologies.
  3. Participate in code reviews to gain a deep understanding of quality standards and architecture, ensuring that our codebase meets the highest standards.
  4. Engage with the Ubuntu community to gather user feedback and insights, helping us to shape the future of our desktop.
  5. Contribute to documentation to aid in your learning and that of future team members, ensuring that our knowledge is shared and accessible.
  6. Troubleshoot and resolve user-reported issues, gaining experience in debugging and problem-solving, and helping us to deliver a seamless user experience.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Linux container technologies, including kernel namespaces, cgroups, apparmor, seccomp, and more.
  • Experience with high-quality, defensive, and performant code development.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
