About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Communications Director to join our team at Americana Restaurants. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving our external communications strategy, ensuring seamless alignment with our organizational goals.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of successfully managing high-level communications strategies for multinational organizations. You will be responsible for leading the development and execution of a holistic communications strategy that aligns with our brand vision and values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Communications Strategy: Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive communications strategy that aligns with our brand vision and values.
  • Partner with Executive Leadership: Partner with executive leadership to provide consultative guidance on communications strategies, ensuring they support broader business objectives.
  • Brand Consistency: Own and maintain brand consistency across all markets, including overseeing brand guidelines, tone of voice, and external representation.
  • Communications Advisor: Act as a communications advisor, offering strong pushback and well-considered counsel when necessary, while remaining resilient under pressure.
  • Digital Communications: Spearhead the execution of digital communications strategies to promote Americana Restaurants as an 'Employer of Choice' across all digital channels.
  • Employee Engagement: Oversee strategic communication programs that enhance employee engagement and align with our organizational goals.
  • Communication Materials: Develop high-quality, impactful communication materials, including newsletters, blogs, and external messaging, ensuring consistent brand alignment.
  • Corporate Events: Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of corporate events, professional conferences, and Townhall meetings, maximizing their impact and engagement.
  • Communications Budget: Manage the communications budget to ensure optimal allocation and maximize ROI.
  • Market Trends: Continuously monitor market trends and implement best practices to keep Americana at the forefront of innovative communications strategies.
  • Brand Image Strategy: Establish robust processes and systems for reviewing, approving, and disseminating communications, ensuring clarity and alignment at every stage.
  • Brand Guidelines: Design and implement Americana brand guidelines to drive consistency across all markets, including logo, font, color code, tone of voice, image library, etc.
  • Translation: Research and confirm a preferred way of working for translation of content and comms into all languages.
  • Townhall Meetings: Review end-to-end delivery of Townhall meetings to continually drive audience engagement and participation.
  • Digital Comms Strategy: Lead the digital comms strategy for Americana Restaurants, fully utilizing all digital channels available to promote Americana Restaurants as an 'Employer of Choice'.
  • Gatekeeper: Be the gatekeeper for comms, providing guidance and support where required on how to format the message to have the desired impact and what channels to use.
  • Process and Rhythm: Shape and implement a process, rhythm, and routine for review and sign-off prior to comms being sent.
  • Communication Materials: Develop and edit communication materials like posters, newsletters, blogs, and external messaging.
  • Communications Budget: Oversee and allocate the annual communications budget to ensure it is fully maximized.
  • Events and Conferences: Create and execute a strategy for using events and professional conferences to advance Americana Restaurants brand image among target audiences.
  • Communications Materials: Ensure timely preparation of high-quality communications materials aligned to our organizational goals and key deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's and/or master's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
  • Language: Fluent in Arabic.
  • Digital Expertise: Strong digital expertise, including proficiency in social media platforms, content management systems, and communication tools. Video creation and Photoshop skills preferable.
  • Experience: Proven track record of successfully managing high-level communications strategies for multinational organizations.
  • Communication Skills: Superior written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to craft messages that resonate across diverse audiences.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Highly resilient with exceptional problem-solving skills, capable of navigating and thriving in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to provide strategic guidance and pushback to leadership when necessary.
  • Attention to Detail: Superior attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and an ability to deliver high-quality work under tight timelines.
  • Relationship Management: Assertive and self-confident but exercise plans and decisions within a structured environment and defined parameters.
  • Analytical Skills: Analytical and technical nature, with a direct and factual communication style.
  • Self-Starter: Self-starter with strong relationship management skills and ability to partner with and build consensus with individuals and teams.
