Job Summary

KAY INVEST is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for supporting banking operational activities, general ledger entries, and other financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Operations
  • Draft, review, and validate all general ledger entries.
  • Conduct stock validation and reconciliation for group entities.
  • Allocate and distribute costs to the correct cost centers for error-free reporting.
VAT and Financial Reporting
  • Review and submit VAT files to management for processing.
  • Deplete sold assets for precise and real-time reporting to management.
Financial Analysis and Reporting
  • Review and reconcile monthly closing of bank reconciliation, aging analysis of trade debtors & trade creditors, and statement of accounts reconciliation.
  • Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to management, recommending further courses of action.
Asset Management and Control
  • Enforce proper control on company assets to ensure they are properly kept and fully insured from possible risks.
Reporting and MIS
  • Generate daily, weekly, monthly, yearly, or periodic MIS reports to management as required, alerting management to any adverse market or financial conditions and suggesting corrective measures.
Capital Budgeting and Planning
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and presenting capital budgets as per management policies for better cash management.
Supplier Negotiation and Communication
  • Guide price negotiation with suppliers under the guidance of management.
Company Policies and Procedures
  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures, business ethics codes, and ensure they are communicated and implemented within the team.
Additional Tasks
  • Perform all other tasks assigned by management.
Requirements
  1. Education
  • Commerce Graduate, preferably MCOM/MBA with specialization in Accounts or Finance.
Professional Qualifications
  • Professional qualification in Accounting or Costing from a reputable international accounting professional body, such as ACCA, CA, ICA, ICMA, ICWA, or CPA.
Experience
  • 05 years post-qualification experience in Hotels/Hospitality/Real Estate Industry, especially in Finance and Accounts, Costing, or Financial Planning.
Skills
  • Significant exposure to economic and accounting principles, including practices in the financial markets.
  • Analysis and reporting of relevant financial data.
  • Broad knowledge of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, calculus, statistics, and their applications.
  • Ability to lead a small group of professionals and drive projects to completion.
  • Exemplary behavioral aspect towards work and a driven attitude in focusing customer service relations, teamwork, and cooperation.
  • Ability to maintain and ensure the confidential nature of the department, including all pertinent records and services rendered to other departments.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional and effective working relationships and good attitudinal behavior with fellow staff, supervisors, other departments, and external entities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in the English language, both verbally and in written form.
