Job Summary:
We are looking for a qualified mechanical engineer with 58 years of experience in the diagnosis, repair, overhaul, and maintenance of heavy machinery. The ideal candidate will have workshop service and/or field service experience and be able to diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and repairs on a wide range of heavy earthmoving machinery, including bulldozers, excavators, loaders, and mining trucks.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques to determine the root cause of equipment malfunctions.
- Conduct on-site inspections, repairs, and maintenance in various environments, including remote mining locations, ensuring minimal downtime for equipment.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and equipment at customer sites, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Provide technical support and training to customers on the operation, maintenance, and safety procedures of heavy machinery and mining equipment.
- Assist in the identification, ordering, and management of spare parts inventory to ensure availability and reduce equipment downtime.
- Maintain detailed service records, including work orders, maintenance logs, and repair documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory standards during service operations, ensuring a safe working environment for all personnel involved.

- Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and site supervisors to coordinate service activities and share technical knowledge.
