Job Title: Night Manager

At Paramount Hotel, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Night Manager to join our team. As a Night Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire Front Stage operation during the night, ensuring high standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Monitor: Supervise, correct, and demonstrate all duties and tasks in the assigned Place of Work to the standard set.
  • Financial Management: Follow up on financial cases and monitor the front office cashiering.
  • Team Leadership: Assign responsibilities to subordinates, implement the Multi-Tasking principle, and check their performance periodically.
  • Guest Relations: Serve as a point of contact for regular guests and 'A' List guests.
  • Audit and Reporting: Complete night audit duties efficiently and effectively, and assist the Accounts Receivable Agent with providing backup to invoices.
  • Revenue Management: Maximize room occupancy at best rates and use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities.
  • Cash and Credit Management: Prepare daily credit limit and cash reports, maintain guest accounts, make corrections or adjustments to bills as needed, process all credit card transactions, and prepare all reports for the hotel manager for the next day.
  • Room Revenue and Discrepancies: Check deposits, match the hotel cash and credit reports, obtain and account for the correct room revenue, ensure that all room rate and guest information is correctly posted into the hotel property management system, account for all rooms-related rebates for the day, and ensure that all room discrepancies are checked and followed up on.
  • Currency and Credit Policy: Understand and demonstrate correct procedures regarding the acceptance of foreign currencies, credit cards, and cash in accordance with the hotel credit policy.
  • Representative Role: Represent the Hotel Manager and other senior managers in their absence, taking full responsibility of the hotel.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Demonstrate current and up-to-date knowledge of hotel products, services, pricing, and policies, as well as knowledge of the local area.
  • Character Enquiries: Handle character enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, report character complaints or problems to Management if no immediate solution can be found, and assure follow-up with characters.
  • Service Standards: Be demanding and critical when it comes to service standards.
  • Workplace Environment: Ensure that the work place team projects a warm, professional, and welcoming image, ensure a consistent guest recognition program and a relevant guest database is maintained, ensure that the work place is kept clean and organized, and report 'Lost & Found' items and handle them in accordance with the Policy & Procedures.
  • Additional Tasks: Undertake any reasonable tasks and secondary duties as assigned by Management, and respond to any changes in the work place function as dictated by the hotel.
Requirements:
  • Experience: Experience in the hotel industry in the same position.
  • Education: Front Stage Operation certificate holder or Bachelor or Master Degree in a given field.

Desirable qualifications include previous guest relations experience in the 5-star hospitality industry and 2 years of experience in a 5-star hotel as a Night Manager.
