Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Product Category Manager to join our team. As a key member of our category leadership, you will be responsible for analyzing market trends, customer preferences, and competitor activity to optimize product selection and pricing strategies. You will work closely with suppliers to decide which products to stock in the category and ensure that they meet our quality standards. Your expertise in sales analysis and customer insights will enable you to make informed decisions about product offerings and pricing. Additionally, you will plan and execute in-store promotions, discounts, and other marketing strategies to boost sales within the category.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you must have a strong understanding of market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activity. You should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and negotiation skills are also essential, as you will be working closely with cross-functional teams and suppliers. A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business or marketing, is required. Prior experience in a similar role, preferably in the retail industry, is highly desirable.
