The Inside Sales Engineer is a key position within Johnson Controls, Inc. reporting to the Inside Sales Lead. This role is responsible for supporting UAE customers by identifying their requirements, interacting with them, and offering standard and specific solutions and services to retain customers and maximize their success ratio.
The Inside Sales Engineer collaborates with Outside Sales, Field Operations, Customer Representatives, and technical services resources to ensure proposals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs, adhering to Johnson Controls' standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, answering queries and providing basic technical advice and information on new product introductions and modifications.
- Handle HVAC system (Chilled water system) inquiries, follow up with customers, build and maintain good relationships through Wholesale Distributors at all levels, and coordinate new and repeat sales to ensure 100% customer satisfaction and account retention.
- Review service/PPM/call out reports from AMC sites.
- Create proposals through Word/CPQ/pricing tools/Service selection tool.
- Partner with local Field Operations/Sales team for:
- Onsite asset counts/site details.
- Review and understand the PPM Reports and MRF for labor and material jobs.
- Guidance on pricing.
- Upsell opportunities.
- Review proposals prior to customer submission.
- Review and obtain DOA approval of Order Receipt.
- Outbound calling/email for follow up & secure the order.
- Capture & update all actions from creating opportunity to closing the deal in SFDC.
- Call/email customers with outstanding/soon-to-expire proposals.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Sales/estimation in the HVAC Chiller Industry.
- Strong technical knowledge in Chilled water systems.
- Experience in reviewing service PPM reports.
- Experience in preparing costing in MS Excel/CPQ.
- Ability to prepare quick quotes in MS Word & CPQ tool (5-10 proposals in a day).
- Coordination with operations/front line sales team.
- Identify the backlog of unsold opportunities & conduct outbound email/calling for follow-up.
- Demonstrated ability to influence account decision makers at key levels.
- Experience working with a Sales Force CRM database.
- Ability to rapidly build knowledge of York products.
