Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food and Beverage Service Ambassador to join our team at Rotana Hotels & Resorts. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests and ensuring that their experience is nothing short of outstanding.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Guest Service: Offer consistently professional, friendly, warm, and engaging service to all guests, ensuring that their needs are met and exceeded.
  2. Table Management: Welcome guests to the assigned outlet, receive and escort guests to tables, ensure that they are attended to, and be available for them at all times as a point of contact. Provide menus and announce the Waiter/Waitress's name.
  3. Guest Support: Cater to guests who require extra attention (e.g., children, elderly) and respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
  4. Food and Beverage Quality: Ensure that Food and Beverage orders are of a consistently good standard and delivered in a timely manner.
  5. Team Support: Offer assistance to colleagues when required, to ensure designated work goals are met.
  6. Enquiry and Booking Management: Actively use the standards detailed in F&B Enquiry/Booking Checklist when taking Restaurant enquiries or bookings.
  7. Guest History: Responsible for the collection and input of any relevant guest history in profile.
  8. Guest Source Data: Ensure proper capture of all guest source data (in-house, local residents, outside tourists) and consolidate per shift.
  9. Reservations and Floor Plan Management: Take outlet reservations, handle the reservation book, and answer the telephone in an impeccable manner. Coordinate with the service team in making necessary arrangements according to floor plan for reservations or blocking off reserved tables.
  10. Outlet Maintenance: Observe the cleanliness and maintenance of the outlet and the entrance area.
  11. Guest Well-being: Assure the well-being of all guests by maintaining a close, friendly, yet discrete contact.
  12. Menu Knowledge: Be aware of all menus and ongoing promotions in the outlet by heart in order to recommend if a guest requests.
  13. Database Management: Contribute to setting up the outlet's database with full details about all guests, especially regulars, and their preferences such as food, table, and service style.
  14. Guest Departure: Reassure guest satisfaction upon their departure.
  15. Health, Safety, and Environment: Operate in a safe and environmentally friendly way to protect guests' and employees' health and safety, as well as protect and conserve the environment.
  16. Compliance: Comply with the hotel environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
