About This Job

We are seeking an experienced Junior Project Engineer to join our team at Otis Elevator Co. As a key member of our project execution team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of elevator installation projects. Your primary focus will be on managing all pre-installation works, ensuring the availability of adequate resources, and coordinating with main contractors, architects, and consultant teams on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all pre-installation works, including the coordination of logistics programs for safe and timely deliveries of escalators and elevator materials inside the building premises.
  • Ensure the availability of adequate resources planning to meet project's contractual requirements, including the coordination of purchases for subcontractors and local materials.
  • Coordinate with main contractors, architects, and consultant teams on project requirements, including shop drawings, technical submittals, material samples, method statements, and inspection and test plan approvals.
  • Plan and arrange logistic programmes for safe and timely deliveries of escalators and elevator materials inside the building premises.
  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports to the main contractor as applicable according to project requirement.
  • Attend weekly/bi-weekly meetings with the main contractor.
  • Carry out technical coordination and planning to interface elevators with low voltage devices.
  • During the installation phase, ensure adequate resources are available and raise material inspection requests upon deliveries of materials, assuring timely approval.
  • Ensure proper communication/letters/records keeping with the main contractor in conjunction with the project manager pertaining to all aspects of the project.
  • Follow up of installation progress through MS Projects, Primavera, or Excel spreadsheet as required.
  • Plan risk assessment prior to hoisting, rigging, and other critical activities.
  • Conduct TBT/FPA and ensure all other safety aspects are adhered to as per company's laid down safety procedures.
  • Raise trouble reports for any missing, short shipped, or defective materials and follow up on their deliveries.
  • Advise/support installation teams for any installation related issues.
  • Ensure installation manuals, engineering drawings, and approved shop drawings are available at all times.
  • Coordinate with supply chain to ensure local materials are ordered and available in a timely manner.
