Job Description For The Senior Front-end Developer

Asterix Communications is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Front-end Developer to contribute to the development of robust, scalable, and secure trading systems.

As a dedicated, methodical, and versatile senior software engineer, you will have the opportunity to solve tough problems with scalable, high-performance code.

Working in a dynamic environment, you will collaborate with fellow engineers to create highly scalable, distributed services and play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining their unique digital asset fully-integrated custody, trading, and investment platform.

Leveraging your expertise in ReactJS, you will create efficient and reliable solutions that enable seamless trading experiences for users.

Responsibilities of the Senior Front-end Developer

Client Platform Development:

  1. Design, implement, and maintain a high-performance digital assets client platform using ReactJS.
  2. Maintain complex cloud-native front-end systems in a microservices architecture.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, frontend developers, and system architects, to understand requirements and deliver integrated solutions.

Optimization:

  • Identify and implement optimizations to enhance the performance and efficiency of the platform.
  • Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and adherence to best practices.

Security:

  • Implement and enforce security best practices to safeguard the integrity of the platform.
  • Stay informed about the latest industry standards and security trends in the cryptocurrency space.

Documentation:

  • Create comprehensive and well-structured technical documentation for APIs, ensuring ease of use for internal and external developers.

Troubleshooting and Support:

  • Collaborate with other engineers, product teams, customer support, compliance, legal, quants, and traders to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to the platform.
  • Provide technical support as needed to ensure the smooth functioning of the platform for customers.
Qualifications for the Senior Front-end Developer

Minimum of 10 years of industry experience with a concentration in building front-end systems in financial services.

Strong knowledge and experience building front-end systems using JavaScript, TypeScript, Open API, React, React Native, Expo, EAS, etc.

Good attention to detail on design and implementation.

Experience in developing cloud-native large scale applications on AWS, leveraging services such as ECS, EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3, and SQS.

Experience working on a collaborative and agile team, leveraging issue tracking, source control, and CI/CD workflows, with full traceability between requirements and code.

A proven track record of building modular and loosely-coupled systems and services that can be deployed with little or no downtime.

Strong ability to troubleshoot production issues, leveraging monitoring and diagnostic tools and analysis of application and services logs.

Experience (personal or professional) working with cryptocurrencies, such as trading digital assets, using crypto platforms, and transferring coins on blockchain.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Commitment to the highest ethical standards while working with sensitive data.
