- Implement Data Models and Database Schemas: Implement data models, database schemas, and ORM (Object-Relationship Mapping) frameworks to manage and manipulate data efficiently, while ensuring data integrity and security.
- Optimize Performance: Optimize background performance and resource usage through caching mechanisms, database indexes, data query optimization, and other performance tuning techniques.
- Implement Security Controls: Implement security controls and best practices to protect sensitive data and prevent common security threats, such as SQL injection, cross-site hacking (XSS), and authentication bypass.
- Conduct Code Reviews: Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and guidance to junior developers, and promote best practices in software development, code quality, and architecture design.
- Stay Current with Emerging Technologies: Stay current on emerging back-end technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and advocate for their adoption to improve development processes and product quality.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on back-end systems and APIs.
- Strong understanding of cloud services (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and microservice architecture.
- Experience with RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints.
- Strong understanding of data models, database schemas, and ORM frameworks.
- Experience with performance tuning techniques and security controls.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
