Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Packaging Operator 3rd Shift Specialist to join our team at L'Oréal Middle East. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our packaging lines, maintaining high-quality standards, and contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Production Line Operations: Oversee the total operation of manual, semi-automatic, and automatic packaging lines, including quality control, material procurement, line setup, and adjustment of products within specifications.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Ensure that all products meet the required standards, and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Training and Development: Train and mentor Packaging employees, observe work being performed, and maintain records to ensure that proper procedures are followed.
  • Logistics and Supply Chain: Assist in the operation of the department, with particular care towards GMPs, sanitization, quality control, safety, housekeeping, production control, and L'Oréal operating procedures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Continually cooperate with management in the development and implementation of processes for improvement, such as quality, line, and plant efficiency, housekeeping, and more.
  • Line Changeovers: Perform line changeovers, including sanitization of parts, to establish GMPs.
  • Inventory Management: Responsible for movement, documentation, and supply of incoming components and bulk to the packaging lines and finished product and materials from the lines to the staging area.
  • Production and Inventory Controls: Perform all production and inventory controls, including ordering the next scheduled job, recording of inventory, personnel, production, and inventory close-out transactions.
  • Housekeeping and Maintenance: Perform all duties of a Packaging Operator, including the ongoing upkeep of the line, including housekeeping.
  • Reporting and Communication: Inform supervision of irregularities and perform all other work relative to Packaging as directed.
Requirements
  • Experience and Knowledge: Experience and knowledge of specific production/processing areas, machinery, and product items is required.
  • Teamwork and Communication: Ability to work within a team environment and communicate effectively in the English language (written and verbal).
  • Physical Demands: Must be capable of lifting up to 30 pounds, doing repeated bending, lifting, and standing for long hours.
  • Education: High School education or GED equivalency preferred.
