Job Title: Linear Pivot Systems Technician

Reliance Career Opportunities is seeking a skilled Linear Pivot Systems Technician to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Linear Pivot Systems Technician to operate and maintain our irrigation systems. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, as well as experience in troubleshooting and repairing irrigation equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain pivot and linear irrigation systems to ensure optimal performance and water efficiency.
  • Conduct routine inspections of irrigation equipment to identify and address potential issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and parts replacement.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose problems with irrigation systems, including electrical and mechanical components.
  • Repair or replace defective parts and components to ensure proper functionality.
  • Monitor and adjust irrigation schedules based on weather conditions, soil moisture levels, and crop requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with water usage regulations and environmental guidelines.
  • Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and water usage data.
  • Collaborate with farm management and agronomists to optimize irrigation efficiency and crop yield.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to company safety protocols.
Requirements:
  • 45 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Proven experience as an Irrigation Systems Technician or similar role.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining pivot and linear irrigation systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
  • Knowledge of irrigation scheduling and water management practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
  • Certification or training in irrigation systems maintenance is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
