Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Cyber Threat Intelligence Analyst to join the Security Intelligence Center Division within the Digital & Information Technology department.

The Security Intelligence Center Division is tasked with delivering security operations, which include a 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC), cyber intelligence, forensic services, and network and endpoint protection, in addition to managing Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, Log Management Systems (LMS), and Cyber Intelligence Management Systems (CIMS).

The primary responsibility of the Cyber Threat Intelligence Senior Analyst is to execute threat intelligence ingestion, threat hunting, and the integration of security reports within the organization's cybersecurity frameworks. This role involves close collaboration with security personnel to capture high-fidelity Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) to detect malicious activities and enhance cybersecurity operations, as well as profiling and monitoring threats.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing and directing internal and external intelligence sources.
  • Analyzing threat reports and feeds, transforming threat information into actionable cyber threat intelligence.
  • Managing a threat intelligence platform and optimizing its integration with other cybersecurity systems.
  • Enhancing cyber threat intelligence models.
  • Establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships related to cyber intelligence.
  • Assisting and guiding cybersecurity analysts in threat hunting and mitigation strategies.
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to junior cyber threat intelligence analysts.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to relocate permanently.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited program; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 9 years of experience in Information Security, including at least 5 years focused on Cyber Threat Intelligence.
  • Proficient user-level knowledge of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Log Management Systems, Incident Response Platforms (IRP), and Threat Intelligence Platforms (TIP).
  • Familiarity with YARA and SIGMA rules, including both writing and application.
  • Demonstrated understanding of OODA, ICD 203 & 208, Diamond, LM, CKC models, and the MITRE ATT&CK Framework.
  • Knowledge of how Intelligence-Driven Defense is utilized to safeguard a large enterprise.
  • Possess forensic analysis skills.
  • Experience with Intrusion Protection Systems, Web Gateways, email security appliances, Log management, and threat intelligence platforms.
  • Ability to identify indicators of compromise (IOCs), assess existing defenses against identified threats, and correlate intelligence to track campaigns and activities.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of urgency and integrity.
  • Demonstrated eagerness and capacity for learning.
  • Ability to write clearly with comprehensive documentation and present verbal/written communications persuasively.
  • Capability to collaborate effectively with individuals of diverse values, opinions, skills, and goals.
