Job Summary

LANDMARK Group is seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Assistant to support the purchasing process within our retail environment. The successful candidate will assist the buyer in selecting and acquiring products that meet customer needs while maximizing profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Market Research: Assist in researching market trends and customer preferences to inform purchasing decisions.
  • Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitors to identify potential product opportunities and pricing strategies.
  • Inventory Management: Assist in tracking inventory levels and ensuring optimal stock availability.
  • Reorder Management: Help manage reorder levels and initiate purchase orders as needed.
  • Supplier Relations: Assist in communication with suppliers to gather product information, negotiate terms, and resolve issues.
  • Relationship Building: Support the buyer in maintaining strong relationships with key vendors.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze sales data to identify trends and inform purchasing strategies.
  • Performance Metrics: Assist in tracking and reporting on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to product performance.
  • Administrative Support: Help with the preparation and processing of purchase orders and related documentation.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier agreements.
  • Product Evaluation: Assist in evaluating product samples and determining their fit for the product line.
  • Quality Assurance: Support the buyer in ensuring that products meet quality standards and specifications.
