Deliveroo Dubai is seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our procurement department, you will be responsible for negotiating and purchasing assigned commodities, supplies, and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Purchasing and Procurement: Negotiate and execute purchase agreements, including payment terms, for assigned commodities and projects.
  • Market Research: Maintain knowledge of assigned commodities and market conditions that may impact procurement costs and lead times.
  • Supply Chain Management: Utilize effective procurement methods, such as scheduled deliveries, blanket orders, and credit cards, to optimize procurement processes.
  • Supplier Management: Determine qualifications of and ensure that suppliers of outsourced products can produce the required quality and deliver at the negotiated cost.
  • Delivery Performance: Monitor and maintain active purchase orders for delivery performance and take appropriate measures to ensure delivery in accordance with customer requirements and company goals.
  • Cost Savings: Achieve annual cost savings goals by analyzing and understanding raw material surcharges and transportation costs.
Requirements:
  • Education: Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of industrial buying experience, preferably in a job shop environment.
  • Certifications: ISM or APICS certification, or extensive purchasing experience.
  • Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
