We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Officer to join our team at Precision Hire Solution. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for managing all purchasing activities, including tactical and strategic procurement tasks, and administrative duties in the Middle East and Africa region.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in operational procurement, with a strong understanding of the purchase-to-pay process. You will be responsible for handling daily purchase requirements, ensuring compliance with global procurement guidelines, and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to meet established procurement policies and processes.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily purchase requirements and ensure timely coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with global procurement guidelines and established procurement policies and processes.
- Work closely with stakeholders to assess demand and scheduling, and manage rescheduling as necessary.
- Carry out RFI/RFQs and make meaningful comparisons to suggest best recommendations.
- Develop and implement P2P initiatives to reduce transaction costs, consolidate volume, and create efficiency.
- Manage and resolve complaints/claims, and maintain a master data base.
- Assist with the preparation of new vendor registration and upload vendor documentation into the system.
- A technical, commercial, or purchasing qualification or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of three years' work experience in operational procurement.
- Experience in customer service/procurement with the ability to resolve complex situations and order fulfillment issues.
- Operational procurement knowledge with a solid understanding of the purchase-to-pay process.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Knowledge in SAP/R3 Ariba system is highly desirable.
- Outstanding communication and analytical skills.
- Strong collaborative skills, positive attitude, and high energy level.
- Strong ability to build relationships and networks with all stakeholders.
- Technical knowledge to recognize and identify similar products.
- Confident in English, both spoken and written.
